Hello! I’m Ryan from Toronto, Canada.

I am a native English speaker who has travelled to many different countries around the world. 

When I was younger, I lived in Japan and worked as an English teacher in Shibuya, Tokyo. These days, I return to Japan at least once per year and have travelled to 18 different prefectures. Ask me about which ones I like the most! 

My goal is to have fun English lessons while helping you reach your goals of communication. My pronunciation is very clear and my explanations are easy to understand. 

Before teaching English, I wrote a book and travelled around North America speaking to over 700,000 people.

I am a Canadian, native speaker of English with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics and a Post-grad Certificate of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language to Adults. I have six years of experience assisting students achieve success and reach their language goals. 

I love to teach because it allows me to meet people from all over the world and learn about their cultures. I have experience working with Japanese students, professionals, retired people and housewives. I hope to visit Japan some time very soon! I deeply respect Japanese traditions and history.

I teach all English skill sets and I have a particular talent for pronunciation/accent reduction. When you and I meet, we will discuss your objectives. Hello, I'm a Canadian man who has been living in Japan for 6 years.  I lived in Tokyo for 4 years, and currently live in Aomori prefecture, near Hirosaki City.  While in Tokyo I taught English and Business English at Berlitz Japan's Nerima and Ikebukuro language centers.  Here in Aomori I work for Hirosaki University as an English teacher at their Fuzoku Elementary School, and also as a tomato farmer in the summer time.  I enjoy teaching English and Business English and look forward to helping you become a more competent and confident speaker!
